Just
because you’re having a fall or winter beach wedding, doesn’t mean your subject
to the traditional beach theme. Here are some ways to mix it up!
Florals
Rather than your standard tropical floral-scape, try
incorporating wildflowers, or dried flowers and grasses into your bouquets and
centerpieces if you’re getting married in the fall. Dried fruits and potpourri
are also great for a totally rustic look. Winter brides –try poinsettias,
roses, eucalyptus, or baby’s breath in your bouquets for a pop of red and
green.
Decor
Copper adds a beautiful and festive fall touch to any table
arrangement, while mercury accents are ideal for a winter wedding setup. In
addition to the colors, textures are another fun element to play with to
incorporate those festive touches –so tulle, beads, wood, and glitter can make
a big difference!
Attire
If you’re having a fall wedding in paradise, perhaps you’ll
like your girls in a maroon, gold, or burnt orange bridesmaid dress. For a
winter wedding, an ice-blue or shimmery silver dress would add a festive touch
to your theme. For the men, consider a fun-themed printed tie or pocket square
to “tie” in the theme. 😉
Cocktails
For a fall affair, you might decide to raise your glasses to
a crisp, sparkling glass of cider instead of champagne. Keep in mind, most resorts
are willing to work with you to create the perfect signature cocktail –so don’t
be afraid to ask them for ideas.
Dessert
Naked cakes are ideal for your fall beach wedding. They
look especially lovely topped with matching wildflowers, dried fruits, or
wrapped in ribbon. Some other trends we’ve seen are smores over a firepit, or
even a stacked apple cider donut cake!
